It makes us feel so helpless because we want to do something to rescue the elephants. For some information on what is going on at the moment and options to help we found this: savetheelephants.org . Chocolate - photo by  Denis Kuschter A life without chocolate - oh what a nightmare it would be. There comes a time in every woman's life when chocolate is an absolute MUST!! And yes, many men love chocolate too. Based on the dry weather conditions around the Ivory Coast - cocoa plants' country of origin - a scarcity is expected to hit in the next few years. This or because I ate most of the available chocolate myself already. My apologies. Aged Whiskey - photo by Amy Lloyd Aged Whiskey is the IN Drink of the moment and because the manufacturer...

>> Important Fact: Cats Can't Survive On A Vegan Diet

Image
Something very alarming happened in Melbourne, Australia last year. Cat owners that were following a strict vegan diet , wanted their cat to live in the same way and only fed potatoes, rice milk and pasta to it.(!!) When the pet was brought to the Lort Smith Animal Hospital it was 'so weak, it collapsed.' Dr. Leanne Pinfield , the veterinarian who treated the feline, said it is important to know, that cats are true carnivores * and need meat to survive . The baby cat was given fluids via a drip, placed on a heat pad and fed meat to recover. The doc went on to say: "Concern for animal welfare has to include a biologically-appropriate diet, you can't force your ideology on the cat. " We are glad, the kitten has been saved and just want to share this important information with all of you animal-friends out there.  * Carnivore : 'meat eater' (Latin, caro meaning 'meat' or 'flesh' and vorare meaning 'to devour') is an o...

We can not answer that for sure, but what we can do, is recommend this awesome Twitter account: @AnimaILife . If you are an animal lover too, you should go there now and give them a follow. Whether it is a polar bear baby , turtles swimming under a big wave or a pug self portrait - you never know what will be up next. . >> Rare Sight: The Albino Kangaroo

Image
What is this cute, furry, bright white, little object standing there in the Australian outback you ask? Answer: It is a rare Albino Kangaroo . In opposite to its dark conspecifics, this little fellow has a reduced amount of melanin in its eyes, skin and fur. But what makes it special , is also causing a great amount of danger because the Albino Kangaroo can be spotted by predators easily. It also has a tendency to get a sunburn.. The one on these photos, is living in the Namadgi National Park in Australia and has already achieved the (for this rare type) great age of two, despite its hassles..  Read more about it and see additional pictures at The Sydney Morning Herald .   We for our part, think this little jumper is adorable and wish for it to have a long and happy life !
