I Break The News

Hello everybody, Welcome back to your favorite blog about yet another truly talented, new British artist. Meet: Finn Askew. Personally, I feel like the best new music is coming from Europe and Australia these days. Fresh, creative and most importantly, real. As you know I have spent most of the last five years in London but it took me until now, to hear of this talented singer/songwriter. Below you can find his new song: 'Music all over her body' which almost inspires me as a singer and songwriter myself, to write the song: 'Music in my soul' I might do it. 😊 But for now, enjoy this relaxed and cool track!! 🎧 Here is a brief summary about the artist: Finn Askew (born 2001) is an English singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist from Wellington, Somerset. His music incorporates elements of alternative R&B, indie, pop, rock and hip-hop. Askew began making music as a teenager, recording songs at home using GarageBand. He gained international attentio...

Hello dear readers, Welcome back to your favorite blog about music and independent songwriting. 🙂 🎼 I recently started a new music project called:  Indie Pop Solace .  This is mainly to showcase my songwriting abilities. With the help of the latest technology  - I have started creating new songs. Listen to the first track below. It is called:  'Footprints in the Snow (This Christmas)' 🎄 I know it is Spring right now but it is never too early to think about your Christmas playlist for this year. 😄 💁🏼‍♀️ It is available as mp3 in the store for your next walk or drive or yoga session.  Or if you are a singer and have a new album coming out and want to record it, let me know. Also great as a soundtrack for a new rom-com. 💖 There will be more songs in different styles on a variety of topics. I might create a few instrumentals too in case I want to record a new song myself at some point. The singer on this particular song is not me. Thought: Instead of all the...

Hey everyone, I hope you are having a great start to the week. Welcome back to your favorite blog about statistics. While I was doing my research into becoming a local wedding singer, I found out what the top 10 wedding songs are and guess who is on number one? Nobody other than La La Land supervillain, EGOT achiever and gifted musician John Legend!! 😃 His song 'All of Me' was leading the top 10 on the wedding song charts in Germany and probably elsewhere too in 2024. I used to have a video of him playing it on the Oprah show in the good music section before Oprah took it off YouTube. Something you probably did not know, is that the song was co-written by a German songwriter/producer called Toby Gad. I did not know this until very recently. It turns out, he was involved in the making of many international hit songs in the past and present. Writing a song and bringing it to life is a unique experience, I can vividly recall.  John Legend in action To remind you what a great and ...

Hello there and welcome back here. Today I have something special for you. As you may or may not know, I am a creative person which also includes being a singer and songwriter. Returning to my truest self is also returning to music. I have not recorded anything in 5 years but because I had some time this year, I took on this project. I produced a remix of the final AUDITION in the movie La La Land. One of the best movies EVER MADE! :D  Even though, I have been creative in different ways over the years, music had to take a back seat. You experience a few setbacks and disappointments and are supposed to grow up/get over/forget/deny your dreams?! A dream of self expression and creating something new.  It is a sensitive yet very meaningful topic to me. In my younger years I knew it was my calling. You try to figure out how to combine your calling with your occupation. The question from the outside world is, why and what is it good for if it does not secure your income? T...

Photo  ©  Ari Michelson To move a NYC audience is not easy because they have seen EVERYTHING. Yet Alanis Morissette and Jimmy Fallon managed to get subway passengers excited when they went busking under ground in NYC a few days ago. Starting off with a Christmas song it did not take long before the first bystanders realized, somebody talented is performing here.. Take a look at the video below if you are a fan or potentially would like to become one. 😊

'Parachutes' 2010 Coldplay album Ok, music fans get ready because we can not hold back this article any longer (it is also overdue since a while) and you need to know that we   ♥   LOOOVVE  Coldplay . We might even go as far as saying we as human kind NEED Coldplay . We love the thoughtful deep lyrics of heir  melancholic and sad songs just as much as  the catchy melodies of their rather light compositions that are able to lift us up (and up!) time and time again. We admire their clever videos not only since recently. Remember ' The Scientist '? Coldplay to us are the modern day Beatles and we can say this because this is our Blog and we make decisions around here.. :) Of course we are aware that they collaborate with many other talented, creative individuals to achieve these results, so we want to extend our admiration to them as well. Now p lease check out their latest video for the song: 'Up & Up'.  Besides bringing us be...
