I Break The News

'Parachutes' 2010 Coldplay album Ok, music fans get ready because we can not hold back this article any longer (it is also overdue since a while) and you need to know that we   ♥   LOOOVVE  Coldplay . We might even go as far as saying we as human kind NEED Coldplay . We love the thoughtful deep lyrics of heir  melancholic and sad songs just as much as  the catchy melodies of their rather light compositions that are able to lift us up (and up!) time and time again. We admire their clever videos not only since recently. Remember ' The Scientist '? Coldplay to us are the modern day Beatles and we can say this because this is our Blog and we make decisions around here.. :) Of course we are aware that they collaborate with many other talented, creative individuals to achieve these results, so we want to extend our admiration to them as well. Now p lease check out their latest video for the song: 'Up & Up'.  Besides bringing us be...

And when we say London, we mean we here at IBreakTheNews - in London! :) Wow what a night for Sam Smith ! The 57th Annual Grammy Awards took place at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles last night and a true Londoner won big time! Thankfully, a huge load of soul and talent is obviously a winning combination! Last night the Briton won a Grammy in each of the following categories:   - Best New Artist - Song Of The Year - Best Pop Vocal Album - Record Of The Year In a moving speech Sam said: "I would like to thank the man that this album is about. By breaking my heart, you won me four Grammys!" Well, he must be careful with these kind of statements.. Remember Adele's Ex? He wanted part of her earnings because he inspired her by breaking her heart. :O Congrats Sam!!! Click HERE for a full list of all the winners .

Missy Elliott is not just a mind blowing producer/rapper/singer she is and has always been a music pioneer, ahead of her time. A few years ago, it was one of my biggest highlights when she responded to one of my tweets!! :D She did - and I have the screenshot of it.. somewhere. As a kid of the 90's there was simply nothing more groundbreaking than her creative output. Growing up watching MTV , it was impossible for you to miss one of her out-of-this-world songs & music videos. Hits such as 'Hot Boyz' 'Get Ur Freak On' or 'Work it' on heavy rotation. Fast forward to 2015 . Kids on Twitter think this is the first big gig of some newcomer. WTF. Well you can not blame someone for being extremely young and - uniformed - as it turns out. The main act was Katy Perry. We like that she kept it family friendly and her LIVE singing was good. #Respect Above, you see the complete half time performance and you MUST SEE the full thing to realize...

We are big Björk fans ever since.. FOREVER! To find out, that the Icelandic alternative artist-singer-songwriter is currently working on new material, is a silver line on the horizon to us! These days we can not help it - we are starving for some GOOD music . Just because it became so rare to find something, that really inspires or moves you.  Björk has wowed us in the past with memorable creations like 'Human Behaviour' , 'Big Time Sensuality' or 'Hyperballad' . We have no doubt that we will be stunned once more by her super creative output! She may not be on top of the charts at all times but she is a TRUE ARTIST. Her new album 'Vulnicura' will be bestowed upon us in March! We just have to check it out! Update: Due to an early leak the album is out now! Much sooner than expected.

Check out this creative video concept from our NYC friends Vidi Vici TV . We think it is really original and we would like to have a floral headpiece like the one in the video as well! You know, for special occasions.. :) The name of the band is P3CULIAR and this is the 2nd single off their debut album ' Role-Play '. Take a look if you like independent artists, it's really a different kind of video.
