Image
Hello everybody and welcome back to the most stylish blog out there. Is this quite the scandal or what?!  A German court has ruled that Birkenstock shoes do not qualify as works of art. The company had sought to have its footwear recognized as artwork to obtain stronger copyright protections. However, the court determined that Birkenstock's designs lacked sufficient individuality, stating that 'pure craftsmanship' alone was not enough. You can read all about it here . 'Birkenstock shoes are traditionally made in Germany. The company has a long history, dating back to 1774 and its manufacturing operations are based in Germany. While they may source some materials from other countries, the majority of the production, including the iconic footbeds, is done in their factories there. The brand is known for its high-quality craftsmanship and their products are considered a symbol of German engineering and comfort.' That is obviously me on my way to the supermarket. I bel...

>> Nature: A Shower In The Great Outdoors

Image
If you love nature as much as we do, you will surely be excited about these photos of some very open, accessible, nature infused bathrooms, which have been shot at several private homes and holiday resorts. With huge windows and lots of natural daylight , taking a shower or bath there, must be a special experience.   The key to having a bathroom like that, are big windows or a lot of glass , replacing the actual walls. If you want to see some more design extravaganzas, go to DesignHome . One more thought: It might be great taking a bath surrounded by nature but remember - if you can look out - anyone on the outside can also look in! Caution. :) (photos via DesignHome.ae )
