I Break The News

Working with glass is a highly sensitive process. You must know 100% what you are doing. Florida-based glass artist Robert Mickelsen is a master of his craft. After only 1 year at college he became and lampmaker and most of his skills are self taught. He says: 'The objects I create are narratives, personal vignettes that reveal the secrets of my innermost thoughts.'  Glassblowing is a glass forming technique that involves inflating molten glass into a bubble, with the help of a blowpipe. There are several techniques required to achieve results like this. To see more of Robert's work, which is also frequently on display at US art galleries, check out his website now. Sparkling!   La Luna by Liana Yaroslavsky One thing for sure: A meeting on one of these tables is going to be everything BUT boring! We like creative people who put a different spin on objects we use every day. The Amethyst Table by Lawrence Stoller The Abyss Table by Christopher Duffy    The Leaf Table by John Makepeace Every Hobbit would love to have an indoor picnic on the grass table, every astrophysicist would probably be thrilled to sit down next to the 'moon'. It is important to us to include the names of the designers since they have put a lot of effort into the creation of these pieces. Take a look and be amazed ! PicNYC Table by Haiko Cornelissen

The creative output of 'entertainer' Benedetto Bufalino has caught our att ention! This former car, has been transformed into something very useful on a hot summer day: Cool down and get comfortable in the Seat Ibiza Jacuzzi ! The interior has been completely removed and was replaced by a pool insert. We assume, you can still roll it around to find the perfect location to park it. The Seat jacuzzi project, is not the only exciting and interesting creation by Benedetto. He has also managed, to lift a mobile home up into the sky , as you can see on the picture above. Surreal! Another strike of genius, was turning a phone booth into an aquarium . To see everything this imaginative artist has been working on so far, click HERE . We expect more great things to come!   Lee Samantha is what we would call a food artist! The Malaysian stay-at-home mom started with her creations about 5 years ago. Little did she know, what kind of BUZZ , her work would draw upon her later.  And when we say later - we mean NOW! What started as a way of making food more exciting for her 2 daughters, developed into a career as kids party planner . Her instagram and facebook are also widely popular! Using scissors, knives and toothpicks as her tools, she 'likes to make something practical, something for everyone to be able to follow.' And she means it! On her blog , you can find a step by step instruction on how to do it too! Just don't expect perfection on your first try, as these kind of astonishing results will take some practice.
