>> 📱Food For Thought: A Lot Of Apps And New Technology May Be Presented To You, But Is It Actually Making Your Life Better?

Image
Hello dear readers! Today I want to share some of my thoughts with you. Maybe 10 or 15 years ago, when there was a new tech invention, without any hesitation we started using it and included it in our daily lives. It is new, it is an innovation, it must be good right? Without questioning we integrated it because everyone and their dog was doing it too. We get older more/countless new things are coming our way. Now I don't know about you but I think for myself. I hope you do too! :) I stopped succumbing to peer pressure when I was around 13 or 14 years old. The concept that you have to wear what everyone is wearing, you have to listen to the music everyone else is listening to. To share most commonly accepted opinions. To not stick out - because it is easier. And at that age range it was. With cell phones taking over it started with calls and messages (SMS we call them in Germany), later it continued with e-mail and data. >> Apps: Pay Your Restaurant Bill Via Phone!

Image
Oh can you hear it.. it's the FUTURE - it is CALLING! :) Any long waiting time for your waiter is now up! Thanks to this new Tab App , we are not just at the point, where we can easily scan our items at the impersonal supermarket self-checkout , we evolved even one step further! Open Table, also known as Top Table in the UK, is offering a phone app which can replace a credit card or cold hard CASH payment.  Participating restaurants (as of now, only in the United States) will accept your money via phone! How does it work? Install the app, make sure the restaurant is taking part, log-in, review your check in real time, add a tip and slide to pay ! Your phone is basically directly connected to the Open Table system of the dining place. Ok, ok we'd give it a try or just get invited & observe, either way! :) (photos © OpenTable.com )

>> Update: New Version Sucks?! Un-Do It!

Image
Did this ever happen to you too? An update is required so you follow through, just to find out that the new version of your favorite app, software or tool SUCKS!! You don't want it, you don't need it - you don't even know how to operate it anymore ! Fear not! It was not a mistake you will have to regret forever - because you CAN go back ! Thanks to: OldVersion.com .  A very helpful site, that will let you find the previous version and un-do that tiny yet annoying upgrade, which you thought has ruined EVERYTHING. We already did this with Windows Paint, as well as with the Twitter phone app. Why difficult and complicated - when you can have it simple, easy to use and just the way you want it, hm? :)
