Hello everybody, Welcome back to your favorite blog about no-expenses-spared birthday festivities! I created this blog in 2012, when I had just recently started studying Journalism in London. It was a time filled with a lot of uncertainty. All I knew, was that I wanted to create my own little corner on the chaotic internet. A place for self-expression, observations and calm.     If my blog were a child, I would now have a bratty teenager on my hands. 💁🏼‍♀️ But my path turned out a bit differently.  Maybe unusual even, for someone from my region. No herd mentality for me. Especially not in my younger years. I had this calling, I just could not silence. It somehow had to do with music and journalism.  It was never easy, but it was also necessary, to follow it. Would I have ever thought, when I started this blog,  that the world would be in the state it is currently in - 14 years later?  Absolutely not, because I had high hopes. Still, this is a place for ...

>> 📍Collective Action Against Big Tech Now: Switch to Brave Browser - Reclaim Your Privacy 💻 Stop Feeding the Tech Conglomerates With Your Behavioral Data📱

Guys - It's a Movement! Take Back the Web: Why Switching to Brave Matters For years, we've been told that Google's tracking, Meta's surveillance-driven advertising, YouTube's algorithms and Big Tech's enormous appetite for personal data are simply the price of using the internet. They aren't. We have been conditioned to accept a web where a handful of enormous corporations monitor our behavior, profile our interests, compete for our attention and turn our personal information into an incredibly valuable commercial asset. The problem isn't just one company. It's the model. And if we want that model to change, we need to stop treating our own participation as inevitable. Brave browser for your phone -  brave.com Switching to Brave is a small act of resistance Changing your browser might sound insignificant. But it is one of the easiest places to start. Brave is designed to block many of the trackers, advertising technologies, cross-site tracking mechan...

>> I Break The News in 2025 - More Content You Will Most Likely Only Find Here!

Hello everybody, I think now is a good time to talk a little bit about my plans for this Blog in 2025. I would like to get involved in the conversation, I would like to add to it. This is why I want to post something   that is currently relevant or something I am thinking about several times a week . I don't use any social media so I can do that instead. Makes way more sense. Every day - but not on the weekends because I need some downtime. This way, we can experience all kinds of developments together. I am willing to talk about most things that are currently going on in the world in areas such as: creativity, music, NEWS, books,  inspiring people , experiences, animals, day trips - crisis intervention. However, there is one thing I will NEVER talk about and that is politics. I was very concerned about it in 2016 but now I'm so over discussing it, at all. So if you are up for it, stop by often, so you don't have to go through all of this crap by yourself. And I don't h...

>> 🖼️ OK, OK — I Finally Made an Investment: I Bought a Piece of Art

Image
Hello dear readers, I have heard that investing in art can pay off big time later, so I finally made the investment. Without any adviser or consultant, I went straight for the purchase. The vibrant colors and the determination on the face of the subject immediately convinced me. I was sure this was a strategically smart move. I am confident its worth will only increase in the years to come. I thought I’d share this with you so that you, too, can invest in some art soon. Have a good day.

News: After All, Love 💜 Is The Highest Power. Never Forget That. US Election 🗳️Joe Biden & Kamala Harris win big! 🇺🇸

Hello, hello everybody! How are you doing today?! Welcome back to your favorite Blog. Did you have a long night as well? The last few days were nothing less than a THRILLER. Every day we were checking the latest updates and on some days the numbers just did not move for hours. Up to 16 hours sometimes. Looking back at it now, the first day was probably the toughest and most stressful. Once the democrats had a strong lead, it got a bit better.  Pod Save America kept us updated . I just thought the world was so silent during these days. It felt like the world stood still! Yet it was and still is important to #counteveryvote. NYC Wall Street Girl - I like you but you stole my pose.  I was there first. #Biter :) Kamala Harris will be the first woman in the position of the Vice President EVER! Also first black/south asian woman. Congratulations! Yesterday, finally the race was called for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. We are relieved. Now sanity will make a return to the White...

>> Insider News: Germany Lockdown - What Is It Like In This Country? PLUS Easter BBQ During Quarantine With Great Music!

Image
This is a stock photo to enhance the positive energy of this post Hello everyone, I thought I give you a little glimpse into what the lockdown situation is currently like in Germany. So ever since March, most stores and all schools are closed. You can still go to the supermarket, where they disinfect the shopping basket once you return it. Keeping your distance to other shoppers is required, wearing a mask during the shopping run is recommended but not ordered by law as of yet.  Necessary places like hospitals and elderly homes continue to operate, with additional safety measures.   Just like everywhere, protective gear is in high demand and sold out in stores mostly. But you can still get it on online - sent from China or from within Germany where self sewn re-usable cotton mask stores pop up online left and right with any prints/colors you can imagine. Greetings from my (backyard) home office to yours.  Daily quarantine routine does not really includ...

>> I went to Berlin to see what's up - Highlights: I ate a Döner & met a Transformer!!

Image
Hello my dear readers! Many things have happened recently and everything went pretty fast so I am going to update you a little. Last month I went to Berlin to see what's up and also, to visit my former workplace NBC Universal . Or I should probably say, the place where they used to be located, right next to the Brandenburg Gate, one of the major tourist attractions. The Starbucks on the corner is still there!  As an attentive reader, you probably know by now, that I used to live and work in many different countries. USA, England and Canada. So much so, that people sometimes tend to question my nationality. Just to clear that up - I am German. When you go back a few generations there is bit of Czech Republic in our family tree too. But often times I wish I would be more exotic! :D Another thing I have always been wishing for, was to have family members around the world. So I could visit and freely decide, where I want to live and work but for me it is just no...
